Wanted to let everyone know Sena updated to firmware 4.x which now supports a number of new features including 4 way intercom.  You also still sync with iPhone for calls or music.   The Sena site describes how to sync each intercom but didn't state the way to get all 4 working is to start communication with 2 and then have a 3rd or 4th Helmut that has been paired will connect in to be added. The 4th Helmut does the same.  Another née feature is conference between 2 intercom + a cell call.  I've owned Blue ant and Chatterbox and love this system so much more than the others. Chatterbox can do 3 way conference but has little volume compared to Sena.  You will never turn the SMH10 all the way up no matter how fast you ride.  Wanted to share my positive experience with this system.

I have read your review and see that you have explained that you will never turn the SMH10 all the way up. I would like to know how you would describe the Quality of sound when you listen to music threw it. I find that wired head sets don't seem to have the best of quality of sound. Thanks for you update to your experience.............................

The stereo sound quality of the Sena is not on par with a good pair of headphones. It's still pretty good at low speeds but I find if I turn it up loud enough to hear above my bike noise at 60+ MPH then my ears hurt after an hour or so.  I fond that problem even using my iPod earbuds.  For that reason having external speakers is still my preference for music which is fine on my touring bike but I have yet to purchase speakers for my CVO Softail Convertible.  I'm still trying to determine which handlebar speakers can produce good volume at 70 MPH.  I have the V&H 2 into 2 which create some great volume of their own which i love but t does make the music listening more of a challenge  I'm open to suggestions on recommended handlebar speakers.

I'd have to agree with you on the volume aspect when at highway speed regarding the Senas but I didn't really buy them for the bluetooth calling and bluetooth stereo capabilities, which I do like. I bought them for communicating with my BSR of which I have no complaints and hearing my gps. We both ride with full face helmets and she finds that with her Shoei, she gets very little wind noise because of good design of the helmet and she makes phone calls and listens to her music with little distortion. I wear an Icon and my helmet is basically wide open on the bottom so at highway speeds, I get lots of wind so I don't expect to hear what's playing music wise when travelling at 70 mph, but it is faint, but when my BSR cuts in to talk, it's okay. I'm sure if I went to a better sealing helmet, the volume would be better, I'm considering a modular and have tried (not used) the Schuberth C3, Shoei Multi & NeoTech and want to try the new Nolan model, I'm sure they would all be quieter than my Icon. All in all, we're happy with the Sena.
