Front Awning if it's wide enough, at the door if it's a pull up room, at a big hotel chain / underground parking - I tip the valet and my bike is usually in a preferred spot.

I fork lock at most - my bike is fully insured for replacement value - let em take it, I can get a new one then!  In reality, the alarm is quite loud and obnoxious.

Possum,

Who do you have for insurance? I have Allstste & they will not do full replacement. I wouldn't mind changing insurance companies!

Thanks.

:soapbox: no full replacement? Get a different agent, or as you stated a new company. It is only a few extra bucks to get an addendum to your policy in writing the full replacement cost plus a few grand in accessories.
I am not sure about about Allstate

I am planning a coast to coast trip on my new scoot and was also curious about what to do about locking it up. I guess if someone wants it more than me, there gonna just take it!

ride on, be safe, have fun.

I have progressive insurance on the bike with GAP insurance and the bike would be totally covered. We got to our destination and loved the ride. This was actually our test run for a longer trip. Even as comfortable as the bike is for me, my wife with the current placement of the passenger floorboards, she gets uncomfortable. I will have to adjust them when I get home.
Having a great time and thanks for all the responses.

Lock ignition and if you will feel better, lock wheel to frame that way it cannot be pushed away.

Ask the front desk to park by the front door.  Most have security cameras...

Definitely try to get a ground floor room on the same side as front.

but don't forget not to keep your fob too close to the bike - as we just tried this weekend on Superrally the alarm may not arm if you put up your tent just besides the bike - which is bad policy anyway for several reasons ;)

:orange: :mango: :bananarock:Just got back from our trip. It was glorious. The bike performed beautifully and we had a great time. Had no issues with the bike and just used the locks and fork lock.
We can't wait to take her out again. We didn't get any pics on this trip as far as, us and the scoot. We will try to be better about that next time.

State Farm - and they are cheaper than Progressive for me.  Texas is a insurance rape state.....nothing is cheap, but we do have some crazy ass weather.

When I got my first bike I was also paranoid that someone was going to mess with it.  But now I lock the fork,(alarm sets it self) park close as  I can to the room and go sound to sleep.  If something happens to  the bike that's what I have insurance for.  So far no problems.

Ditto!!!
