We had a great hike, dinner, and some well deserved rest before we headed down to Murfreesboro the next day....we hit a nice stretch of route 7 that pushed us around hot springs, and stopped at Nimrod dam for a stretch.....

Murfreesboro, this is where the diamonds can be sifted out of the dirt at the State Park, and where we stayed at a local B&B.  The little lady of 12 years found no humor in sifting for her diamond ring, so we we stayed with our host Buddy who showed us that even though it was Sunday, and we were in a dry county......sparkling beverages could be had!  We kicked back at the backyard pool, tossed down a few refreshments.....o.k. more than a few.....great hospitality, and unfortunately the only picture we have is from his restaurant in town......Buddy's...go figure!

Before we headed down to Murfreesboro, we actually circled back to Mt. Nebo and had another run at the hill.....it was a great trip, and on Monday we were not wanting to head back towards work.  The longest ride my girl had ever taken was about 600 miles in all.  With lot's of fun along the way, we punched out 965 miles for the memorial weekend, enjoyed 4 State Parks in AR, made some good friends, and snuck in a couple of bands.........thank God this is the last week of school!!!!!!

I could never see myself on another bike now....the SESG is a fine touring machine!!!!!   Now to put some real miles on this summer......

When you were at mount Nebo you were about 5 miles from Bubba's house and about 9 miles
from my house.

Those curves going up mount Nebo are sharp, you better be leaning the right direction and have a little
speed up or you will find yourself going back down hill fast.

Good ride report. The new lodge at Mt. Magazine just cost the taxpayers 32 million dollars
but it is a nice place to stay.

Hope you enjoyed Arkansas. I think we have some of the best mountains to ride in east
of the rocky mountains.

Might be heading back up that way towards the 3rd weekend of June.  Not sure if we are going to stay at a friends cabin up there, hit the lodge again, or run the bunkhouse somewhere into the hills where it's cooler.  I will give y'all a shout if we head that way!

Here is a crappy video - 1st time the little lady tried it, 1st one I edited.  She got the camera all rotating, and I tried to fix it with the fade in/outs.

Anyways, one more to upload in a bit.

Fixed that - like I said - new to all of it.....here is one more of the hand gliders....what I didn't show was the 15 minutes the 1st guy took before taking off - it was his second solo flight, and I probably would of taken longer to jump off.

I have been extremely happy with the bike, and love the cruise control on the highways!!!!  The little lady was a bit skeptical, so I planned on a much shorter set of rides (around 600-700 miles) and we ended up punching out 960.  Both of us were ready to keep going, but that damn work thing!

I am now planning out some longer routes with the success of this trip.  Great thing about getting out of Texas too was getting 100% gasoline w/o any damn ethanol.
