Judy,

The bars look great.  Gonna install them on mine as soon as the bank account says it's okay...

Ordering my wife a set of bars for her bike.  Hope it makes it a lot more comfortable for her.

Sandie got her Chubby 575 put on today and so far she likes them.  She said she already likes them better than the stock ones.  She got to ride about 50 miles today and ready to make a good long ride. By the way they charged 5 hours to install them.

That's on target for labor. It really does take that long. I installed mine, and it took me longer than that the first time. Installed a pair with a friend on his bike after a few months go, and it took that long again.

Glad your wife likes the bars. I love mine... much more comfortable than the stockers.

So install them yourself! It's a PITA getting all those little pins out of the connectors, fishing the wire bundles through the new bars, and connecting all the pins back in the proper receptacles... but it's not rocket science. It's definitely NOT a fun job do to, though... I'll tell you that. Having done it twice now, I sure don't want to have to do it again...

WOW!  I got my bars, my air deflectors, my highway pegs, my trim rings put on my front lights and my clutch assist put on for $320.  ::).  All this was done by a Harley Tech that works for a small dyno shop here in town and not at the dealer.  I took my scooter back two weeks later and he put on my XM module for $140.00. They said that they can do my 5K and all extended warranty work.  Harley wanted for $420 to put on my XM.  This mechanic has always worked on my scooter at the dealers but he quit there 3 months ago and I found out where he went and now take my mc to him. I feel so fortunate that I stumbled across his new place and my wallet is really smiling.  ;D

I'm letting a shop put my bars on.  I don't want to go thru that again.     Ever.  :2vrolijk_21:

Ken...that would be nice.  We are moving southwest about 80 miles in a couple of months, but that's no distance barrier.  Judi has a nephew that lives up in Cummings so we may be in that neck of the woods from time to time as well.  We'll be coming through there on the way up to Maggie Valley in Sept for the GTG.

Terry - I somehow missed your post! I saw your "moving" thread with the new kick-azz building... very cool! I would really like to meet you. We live in Buford - just across the Buford Dam from Cumming, right off of Buford Dam Road, in Sleepy Hollow... watch out for the Headless Horseman in these parts after dark!

I want to go to the GTG, too. I wonder if I can still get a room? My wife will not be able to go, but I really want to meet everyone there. We could ride up there together if you want... let me know.

That would be cool  :coolblue: if you could make it to Maggie Valley.   :2vrolijk_21:
