I used the SE fork oil. For no particular reason. As Neal said its just to keep the springs wet.

Picked up my 03 FLHRSEI2 today.
Progressive Monotube Kit installed in the front and 44o HDs in the rear.

WOW! What a major difference.

Did this to my '01 SERG.  Lowered 2" for my vertically challenged wife.  It's really too low.

This last weekend put 440s and standard height monotube kit in the front.  When you think about it it's really a shame what a big difference there is!!!  It's great.

Curious.  How many turns of preload did you set your 440s to?  I did 5, right in the middle and I'm not sure I'll change it.  Seems great.

Here is a Progressive Video on setting the "Sag" for your progressive 440s

The "Full Travel" for my 440 Hs is 3.18 inches
So Sag should be 1.06 inches.

I have the Heavy Duty 440s. In the first notch, closest to Max Softest I have 7/8 inch of Sag.
Me = 290lbs

I haven't worked iSag out yet with BSR On yet. Guessing maybe 1 or 2 notches stiffer.

Certainly very happy with the setup

Cheers

This great... 5 mins on board and already found answer to my first question. Second question... TMQ... what size Wild1 Apes you rocking? 16"? Do your hands sit about shoulder level and have enough spread to keep your hands from passing out?

They are the 12.5 inch Wild1's. Just below the shoulder not by much

OK, You have talked me into the standard height Monotubes Kit in front and the 13" Shocks in the rear.
Less bottoming out on ME and NH roads is a good thing.

Question: Do I have to do anything else differently for using the Stock Monotube front kit?
How did MoCo get my 03 SERK 1" lower, with shorter springs?

I am reading the instructions from Progressive for the lowered progressive Monotube kit

Thanks
DR

Are you satisfied with the shocks? I`m considering to buy new shocks too but not sure where to buy them. Where did you find the best price?

Thanks,

Absolutely!
My BSR was constandly complaining about the rough ride with the HD OEM Shocks. It did matter what PSI I set the rear shocks to.
Once I did the Progressives front and rear, complaints stopped
The SERK just rides so much better now and sticks to the road surface.

I used DirectCyleParts.com
http://www.directcycleparts.com/index.php
I used the basic Shipping and they arrived with in 4 days.

Progressive Monotube Fork Cartridge
http://www.directcycleparts.com/suspension-front-forks-progressive-monotube-fork-cartridge-c-37_234_236_237.html

Ipaid about 66% of the Progressive MSRP for the Front & Rear Shocks.

So, I remember you got 13" and Heavy-Duty? You are riding big miles alone?

You got these(?):

Also, I wonder how big is the difference between Standard and Heavy-Duty...?

"Look" is subjective.  What is for me might not be for you.  Especially with what is really such a small visual difference.  Take a look and see what you think.  This is with standard height (31-2500 Progressives) in the front and rear (330mm Bitubo shocks).

I would like to know where the single seat with chrome work came from please
Cy.

That's a Corbin "Solo" with their chrome V-Rail accessory part Cyril.

I had that V-Rail on a solo and on a Corbin dual-tour saddle previously.  I actually prefer it on the dual compared to the solo.  Like the rail better hanging off the back of the bike rather than so early in the fender.  I think the rail is a good looking part.  On the solo I just ended up liking the bike better without it.

Will this Corbin "Solo" fit 2003 FLHRSEI2 too? Looks nice..!
