I feel that most of my screen glare problems come from either a reflection off the top of the fuel tank or fuel cap door. If I hold my hand UNDER my Garmin, I can see it better in circumstances where I couldn't because of glare. My Garmin is mounted on the top of the left side handlebar directly next to the high beam switch.
