I prefer to call Guinness the stout people. The only World Record I am entitled to is paying too much. The dealer was really nice and took off the $5k over MSRP on each bike and then gave me one dealer prep off. I had to beg for a tee-shirt. And then the best "do you want them or not". I did everything I could, I went in at the end of the month, I started negotiating on one and when that was over I said I wanted two to get a better price. Nothing worked, so I just bought them.
Now they are one year old, second set of tires on each and 18k miles. I can't stay off of them.
Have Fun!!

That's not a bad deal on 2 new SESGs, David. Most dealers will not discount them at all because they know they can sell them at MSRP or higher. I think most people have paid MSRP or higher... some significantly higher from what I've read. But you were near the end of the model year, so that probably helped.
I paid MSRP when I bought Buster on Aug 26, 2011, didn't pay dealer prep, and paid only a $250 doc fee, at H-D of Macon. I did get two T-shirts... one for me and another for my wife. At that time, Florida dealers were routinely quoting $3K over MSRP for these things. I had not heard of dealers quoting as high as $5K over though. That's crazy... glad you didn't pay that!
At the time I bought Buster, the '12 SESGs were as rare as hens' teeth, and had only begun trickling into dealers. I had originally been looking for a '12 SERGC. I called every dealer in Georgia, and none of them had one on the floor available for sale - except Macon, who had a Maple Metallic on their website. I called them, but they had just traded it to another dealer the day before - for a Hot Citrus SESG. I told them I would be down there that very day to buy it, and I did! Very nice folks in that dealership. I'm so happy I ended up with this SESG... I love it!
I didn't see another Hot Citrus on the street here until about two months ago, when a guy pulled up to a riding buddy and me while we were sitting on our bikes in the parking lot of a BBQ restaurant in Blue Ridge, GA. He was a funny guy, and we had a good time talking with him.
