Thanks to everyone for their input. I test rode a new springer softtail the other day at my dealership on demo days and although I couldn't really get on it ( we had escorts front and rear) I did hang back a little when we got on the highway and I was able to get on it a bit and even though it was lighter than my serg I don't think it would stay with me in a race.

Yo Mr. Otis,
      If I read your HBRR Bro Hubbard's posts correctly, your idea of stock is a bit of a stretch. Now I'm not accusin you of memory lapse or anything, but do you honestly remember what your bike did when it was stock ? My memory of my 00 SERG was that I loved the bike (that's why I bought a new 07 RG) but the motor was slow to get up to speed. Great on the open road, cruised effortlessly all day long and roll on was good above 70, but take off was a matter of gettin the choo choo to huff and puff.

Well Otis,
             Seems no one knows yet what you can and can't do to the new motors, so I think I'll be slidin along I-40 to Maggie Valley on the slime of my slug. Might not keep up with you and your bros, but I spect I'll enjoy the ride nonetheless. Thanks for the heads up. If you hear of any good mods for breather, pipes and chip or SERT, please post.
