Wow.....hahahah..... if those bikes weren't so bulky......or if my FL----SE6 had that much power! A dream....

I had a '03 Cobra with 500 RWHP and that thing would fry the 305 wide posi-traction tires to the rim..... even driving at 40mph, press the pedal and light things up....  Needless to say, having that kind of power is just awesome.  Wish my bike had that much!

Exactly what I thought.  All those fumes must have gone to their heads.

Those were Boss Hoss's . They are built in Dyersburg TN. A friend of mine is a dealer
for them. I have ridden the 350 horse 350's and the 500 horse 502 big block. The 350's
weigh 1100 lbs and the 502 was 1300 lbs.
Then my friend built an all aluminum small block with 750 horsepower and weighed in at 900 lbs.
When he asked if I wanted to ride it I said no I am not ready to die today.
The 350's are very smooth and manageable but the 502 is a brute. Big cam makes
the whole bike shake violently at idle. Easy burnouts as long as you have the balls
to stay in it.

I rode one a couple years ago in San Diego. A friend  was close friends of the ownerships so we got the VIP tour on test rides.  The models we rode were de-tuned, red-lined at 3500. Just enough to feel the power. It's amazing how well balanced they are.  I actually felt more comfortable and secure on the 350 then I do on my Ultra. The bike feels like it rides itself , you're just on it twisting the throttle. When you're stoped and straddling the bike, you don't feel the weight at all, it just feels like the bike is holding itself up. Shift the bike slightly then you wake up realy quick and realize how heavy the big brute is..  When I left San Deigo aft the test ride, I wanted one so bad that actually started talking to the dealer on the order process.  My wife finally stepped in and said either her or that bike..  After deciding the Hoss wasn't going to 'put out' I stayed with the wife.   ;D

You probably made the right choice, but that bike won't talk back or nag you to
take out the trash. I would have had to think about it for a while. :huepfenlol2:
