Ordered the Ultra 940 touring series shocks and the 31-2501 monotubes this morning. Still don't know if I'll go with the Glide-pro swing arm bushings and motor mount or not. Leaning towards trying them. Can't wait to feel the difference.

I bought my Progressive Monotube Front Shocks and Progressive 440 HD from DirectHarley Parts. About 33% less than Progressive wanted at Laconia Bike Week.
I have had them in for about 2 weeks now and logged to 600 +/- Rides.
Like night and day from HD OEM.
Went with standard height front and rear. I do not really notice any height difference, but I know it hasn't bottomed out anymore.

You will be happy with that choice.  If you've got a bunch of miles on your bike, replacing the bushings and at least checking to make sure about the motor mounts is probably a good idea.  It'll be like riding a different bike.

put aldan's on mine 05 seeg and love them. bike had 20k on it when changed and went to cookeville in early june with 2 up and weeks worth of gear, road interstate at 70-85 in downpour,back roads at 60-80 and no issues.wish i had done 7 years ago

The shocks and monotubes came today, now waiting for the glide-pro swing arm kit and motor mount.

Got the bike back from the shop today, the rear shocks are the most noticeable difference. I put about 50 miles on it and think I'm going to like it. Still haven't tried the two up difference yet. I had let it go for too long, it's quite a change.

this is good information - Keep us posted after you get some more miles under your butt....   I hear the progressives are a good way to go.

A question was asked over the last week at the West Coast GTG - "What is the life expectancy of the mono tubes?"...

Would be interested in knowing that answer as well.

Finally had the chance to put a few miles on the bike with two up today. My wife said the ride is way better. We both finished the 110 mile ride saying that the bike didn't ride that good when it was new. I purposely rode a few rough roads to really test it. We never came close to bottoming out. I have it set with three lines showing. I told her I could soften it up some but she said no, she liked it the way it is. I'm giving the 940's most of the credit but the monotubes are definately an improvement. I have to say, I'm very pleased with the outcome.
