2012 Tour Pac Relocator, Help
« on: July 04, 2012, 09:51:32 PM »

We need some more room on our 12 FLHTCUSE7!!!  I had a 07 CVO ultra and I just redrilled holes in the tour pac for another inch+.  Most of the relocators seem to raise the pac and some up to 3/4".  What have Ya'll used or heard about?  2 inches would be the max I need.
Thanks for all input!

Contact George Anderson @ 309-236-0952 he sells a relocator kit that will move your TP back giving you some more room. You can do a search on the site using his name (George Anderson) and find many threads about his kit.

I used the Kuryakyn Tour Pak adjustable tour pak relocator.  Gained about 3 inches.

I installed George A's Tour Pack relocator kit six months ago.  My BSR loves having a little more room.  It's easier for her to get on the bike now too.  His is the best price on the market and very well made.

Hope these replies help!

Georges' kit worked perfectly. It gave the BSR the room she needed so she didn't feel claustraphobic back there - she can even move around and stretch a little on the longer all day rides.

Another vote for George!  With that crazy lumbar support on these bikes, you almost HAVE to do something.  I'm not sure why they even send them out the door the way they are.  I had to lengthen the CB antenna and tour-pak LED wiring harness to go the full 2 1/2 inches, or whatever it is.  Prolly could have done it without, but everything is nice and loose this way.  It does raise the tour-pak a smidgen, but that's just the nature of the beast when it mounts between the tour-pak and the stock rack.  Basically, the increased height is imperceptible.

For a better reference of what it'll do for you on a '12 SEUC, see the pics in this thread: http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=67133.msg938240#msg938240

I thought that one said not for CVO's. :nixweiss: Did you have to do any modifications? I got the George Andersons and am very happy with it but like the idea of being able to slide it forward when Momma's not on the back! My buddy put that one on his RG and loves it. :2vrolijk_21:

That's what I thought also, JR.  Reason being the amp under the tour-pak on the CVOs.  At least that is how it was when Kury first came out with their relo kit.  Wonder if it has changed.   :nixweiss:

It has Jerry! Went to the new Kuryakyn site and looked up relocator. Went to instructions pdf and it actually has instructions for CVO ultras and comes with a plate for amp. :2vrolijk_21:

Installed George's relo kit, easy and made very well. Plenty of room now for my BSR. The big bonus is made in the good ol US of A by a gentleman that fully trusts this communitee by shipping the part even before he gets the funds. Now that is old school business! George is the man!  :2vrolijk_21:
