Ebbets Pass, Donner Summit, Hwy-49

My friend Dave was with family in Truckee so I took a long way around ride up to see them and also picked up 100 cigars in Reno for another friend.

Ebbets Pass had beautiful weather.  It's hard to capture how winding the roads are on the eastern side of the pass without climbing off the bike and up the sides of the roads.



























Cyclists climbed all morning and reaping the thrill of a fast downhill.

Passed 'em all in one swoop. Cool












The impaired woman driving this SUV literally swerved fully into oncoming traffic 4 different times almost hitting vehicles head on.  She stopped in the middle of the hwy and I convinced her to pull over into a turnout. I tried unsuccessfully grabbing her keys with her driving off with my arms in her car. Lost her the third time I stopped to talk to 911. She must have turned to go to Lodi and I went straight to Stockton.

I rode over 108 sonora pass last weekend went north on 395 to monitor pass then over 4 ebbets pass back to the sonora area. I had the whole moutain to myself with no traffic and great road conditions.

Here you go again with the picture tease!!!!  That is part of our ride next June!!!  We're flying into Frisco & renting bikes and heading that way...Napa Valley, Lake Tahoe, Yosemite, Kings Canyon, Seqoui & back to Frisco...

Great pictures, I'll get together with you befor we go and get some road route advice...
