We decided to escape the rain and drive down to Barcelona in Spain. We took the route through the French Alps (Route des Grandes Alpes) when we went down, and across the Cevennes in France when we came back. I didn't take many pictures, but if you like climbing many passes with tight turns (I do  ) then this is a great tour (I didn't count all the mountains we crossed, but it must have been more than a dozen).
After the Great and the Little St. Bernhard, we reached  Col de l'Iseran (elevation 9088ft):

After a few more roads up and down, we came to Col de la Bonette (highest pass in Europe, 2802m or 9193 ft). This was the way up

Barcelona greeted us with sun, warm weather and maaaaaany Harley's in the city

We stayed at the "Mas de Baix" hotel - highly recommended!

Going back home. No, this is not in Arizona, it's in France (but it was hot, too)

Last pic from a pass in the Cevennes - it was a fantastic trip. And it was nicely warm and dry, until we arrived in Switzerland where we got into a really bad rain, the only one in the whole 9 days.
