Will Fullsac cure the excessive heat on my 2012 SESG?
« on: July 10, 2012, 09:19:59 PM »

I want to put the Fullsac headers, 2.25" muffler cores and TTS tuner on my bike. Will that cure the horrendous heat problem I have on the right side of my bike?? I think my pants almost caught on fire today!!!!!

I can not say for sure because I just ordered that system today but everything I have read in this forum sure says that it cools it down and makes bike sound good.  I do not recall reading one bad comment about the fulsac system.  I have emailed and talked on the phone with them several times in the last couple of weeks and they seem very nice and knowlageable just like everyone says. Good luck

100% cure....NO.....but it will get a lot better than it is from the factory--providing it is tuned properly. If that is all you are doing, and you buy everything from Fullsac, Steve can provide a map that will be very close to perfect. If you dyno tune, then you will get that last little bit out of it, but many folks around here are riding with the map Steve provided with their purchase.

Getting rid of the cat will help cool things down... but the TUNE is the thing you need to focus on AFTER you install any cat-less exhaust. Steve's TTS .MT7 or .MT8 file is a very good starting point - but you still need to do VTune runs to further refine the calibration   and dial the tune more precisely into what YOUR engine configuration needs to run its best.

Replace the OEM pipe with a Fullsac, install a good tuner to improve the lean AFR factory setting, add a Baker +1.5 oil pan, and swap the cooler with the fan-assisted Jagg system. Pretty much all you can do to cool the motor.

I just picked up my bike yesterday after having the Fullsac C pipe installed with a Harley race tuner, 130 mile ride home 95 degrees, the heat does seem noticeably less, I kept the stock muffler  nice low rumble while idling, barks when gas applied reminds me of the true dual Reinhard's i had on my 2007 110.
Seat of the pants says nice torque increase (could be the louder exhaust tone :)) and gained 1.5 mpg on first tank with several jaunts over 90 mph3.
So I am sold on the Fullsac head pipe and a good tuner
cheers

have an SEUC5 and It was routine to have the rear cylinder shut down at stoplights.  Installed Fulsac X-Pipe, 2 in cores, Arlen Ness Big sucker and TTS Tuner. Been over a month now and rear cylinder has not shut down yet.  Here in Colorado we have been having 90-100 degree weather.

Just curious, what kind of numbers are you getting with the stock muffs?

sorry do not know the numbers, dealer does not have a Dyno. They hook up the sert to there computer and take the bike for a ride (town hills and freewayabout 20 miles) then check the computer readings and make any adjustments. They got it pretty close i think.  the mechanic says this is a more real world tune then a dyno may just be an excuse for not having a dyno maybe not but i am happy for right now. Left the last bike stock starting to go crazy with this one suspension next...........
cheers

Gotcha.  I just assumed they dynoed it.  I'm sure it runs great.  It would be interesting to know what just the x-pipe does.

It has been worth about 4-6 HP going back a few years, I think Steve G. still has all the run results when he was in test stage.
