Sure, it'll work, as long as you get a good dyno tune.  Why not just by a Mastertune from Fullsac and get a map from them for your setup?  If they have a map for a close enough setup, you'll probably not have to Dyno....maybe a VTune or 2, if that.

I agree but have never tuned a bike before because I always used the HD race tuner. I guess I am afraid to complete the download correct, even knowing  I am great with computers and can do most modifications myself. I guess my next question is how difficult is it to use the TTS tuner.

just did this to my 2012 electraglide with 1000 miles on it, kept the stock mufflers and added the SE tuner and fullsac headpipe. not sure what map the dealer put in but i am impressed. seat of the pants says good power increase pulls strong from 2200 rpm vs 2500 before. on the 170 mile trip home in 95 degree heat, the motor seems to run cooler and on the 1st tank of gas went from an average of 38.79 mpg to 40.47 (hard to be accurate on only one tank but fingers are crossed). the exhaust now has a quite rumble at idle and barks when I hit the gas.
so yes this will work
cheers mike

Installing the TTS, backing up the stock map and downloading the new one is not hard at all-----especially if you are comfortable wioth computers. And if you run into an issue or have questions, Steve at Fullsac is known for his great customer service.

I want to do the same thing, leave the stock CVO exhaust and change the head pipe.  Good report thanks.  Now if I could only get the guys at full sac to answer the phone.

They will, just be patient!
Remember, Steve spends all day in the dyno cell just on ONE customer's bike!
He's almost "anal" getting it right.
Alice is great returning calls, and is on the phone constantly.

Guys please excuse my very limited (none!) on this subject..I am unfortunately mechanically challenged..
But still have a couple of questions: 1: my engine is Hot (fry an egg hot) and 2: Very quite (would not want a terribly loud exhaust, but a nice healthy SE sound.)

Bike just has a bit over 1000 miles on it (first service just done).  There is no way the dealer would do anything to remove the Cat, and I would be concerned about voiding the warranty, so what realistically could or should I ask the Dealer to do if anything? Sorry I am so dumb...

Thanks!!

Technically the dealer is unable to do anything to the bike which alters the way it breathes or makes sound, apart from already-approved complete packages from H-D, and none of those include getting rid of the catalyst or exceeding the EPA-regulated emissions of sound or exhaust composition.  I don't know what the current fine numbers are, but even ten years ago it was better than ten grand per instance.  The EPA isn't actively pursuing enforcement but that doesn't mean they can't or won't.  If I were a dealer I wouldn't alter EPA-regulated bikes such that they become "illegal" to operate on public roadways.

I'm a three time MasterTune customer but I've recently decided to uninstall the M/T and go with the SE Pro Super Tuner. The TTS wedsite offers little to no personal feedback and I've yet to get any response from them for any technical questions. Plus few if any HD dealers in Western Canada, Montana or Washington work with TTS MasterTune, so tuning for riders who are technically challenged (like me) becomes a real issue.

So yes, you can use the X-Pipe with the SE Pro Super Tuner. And any HD dealer with a dyno and a good mechanic who can run the dyno will be able to fine tune your bike.
Well that's very interesting regarding the SE Super Tuner, but here goes my lack of knowledge-whats a X pipe?
Assuming they will install it in a CA H-D shop, what changes can I expect with respect to heat and sound? Sorry I am so dumb about this  :-*

The X pipe is a header pipe produced by Fullsac.  It is only applicable to the touring bikes, so will not fit on your bike.  Fullsac does make some cores for your mufflers, if I'm not mistaken.

So, your local dealer never changes the exhaust system on any bike they sell?  If so, that would be highly unusual.
