I understand that when they make you mad. My wife is a professional when it come to making me mad. Your friends must have had alot of problems with their bike to trade it in on a Honda. I ride a 2000 Harley FXR4 CVO with a S&SV111 EVO motor and a Rivera-Primo OverDrive tranny. The old motor runs great just wanted more power. Traded the old motor for the the 6 speed gearset installed. We both made out OK on the deal. I love my bike and could not imagine parting with it. The Honda are nice and mostly maintenance free but it just would not be the same for me. I would miss the sound and the looks of the bike. I don't listen to music when I ride, I like to listen to the motor!
I would miss the sound and to sit and admire the bike because I have set up perfect for me. You can do that with any bike but I am Die Hard Harley FXR Man.I grew up with Shovelheads, EVO, Big inch EVO to EVO back to BIG Inch EVO. When I was young I did have a Honda, BSA, Triumph. A long as you in the wind it's reall OK.
Arkansas is really nice. O live 300 south of Mena. It is a 6 to 7 hour ride for me if the wife stays home, beutiful riding. Lots of twisty scenic roads. Eureka Springs is nice!
I have been up there twice and I love it. Last month I rode the Cherahala and the Dragon. This fall I plan to ride that again with my son. He has a 2006 FXST.
