After leaving Arches National Park we took Utah Hwy 279 a dead end road that runs along the Colorado River...came across a movie set, they were filming a new movie - The Lone Ranger.  This train is used in the movie...don't tell anyone, it is pushed up the tracks by a modern diesel powered locamotive!!!

Left Moab after two days and headed south on Utah Hwy 191 to Mexican Hat, picked up Utah Hwy 163 to Monument Valley Navajo Park....

That's the same train that I posted pictures of when we were in Creede, Colo.  Johnny Depp is the star.  They said they were going to Moab, Utah when they left Creede.

In Creede they dug a fake mine in the side of the mountain.  In the movie they blow the mine up. :2vrolijk_21:

Dropped off the scoots and picked up another rental car, the A/C felt gooood.....Lake Mead near the Hoover Dam...
