Un FKN believable! Got A rock chip in my fork upper. Inferno Orange, special order the factory kit from MoCo. 3 colors 64.00. Put A dab on the chip, come back 20 Min. later I have A damn dime size bubble!!!!! The FACTORY touch up Friggin ate the stock paint. I am so pissed I don't know what to do. I think I might just go throw up. Any one else ever had this happen? I hope I can win this battle with the MoCo.

You are right. I will be back Sunday night and will try to post Pics. For some reason I sometimes have problems getting pictures to post. But I will give it A shot for sure.

Did you clean the location good with a paint prep.  Sound like you may have had some type of petro film that made the paint go crazy!!!!  Good Luck!!

Sounds like whatever you used (or didn't use??) to clean the area first was probably the culprit. Something besides the touch-up paint reacted with the paint on the can.
You do HAVE to clean the area first with some prep-solv or similar and carefully scuff with a small piece of ultra fine (1500 or 2000 grit works good) before you "dab" on a drop of touch up paint.
Really sounds like you used something to clean with that Really cleaned, or didn't evaporate and dry prior to you painting and "sealing" the cleaner in.

Sorry this happened ... "it sux" is about the best description of the situation.

I have to agree - appears as though the area wasn't properly prepped. Amazing how you think the are is clean - then you use a product like Prep-Sol or TSP and see that it's REALLY clean.

Hope you have good resolution with MOCO.

I wiped it off as it was still wet also. I am going to talk to the dealer hopefully tomorrow so we will see. they will most likely blow me off so I may be interested in those cans. or more chrome.

looks and sounds like maybe solvent based touch up paint on waterbased factory paint. Just saying.
