I love Missoula, Montana. It's another college town, home of the University of Montana. It has a very vibrant downtown area with lots of pubs/bars/restaurants within about a 5 square block area. One of my watering hold there is the Rhino Bar, about 40 beers on tap and free peanuts to eat and toss the shells on the floor. Plus I like their decorations. Like this one!

It killed me to slow down and take it in in the way I did, but I did enjoy it. I spent the night in Missoula and then blasted back home on I-90 in about 2 1/4 hours though! I even passed Gabe and his crew heading east doing the same ride in the reverse of what I did. 338 miles to get to Missoula, 175 miles to get back home! Love the area I live in!
Looking forward to seeing some of you at the GTG in Spokane soon!

US 12 is on my bucket list. Probably next year after Sturgis. Got a buddy who goes there to stretch out his BMW 1600. Says it's one of the best roads in the country. Thanks for sharing the photos!

Great trip - and seems like you don't have that much rain as we have here. Still waiting for summer ...

It was sunny all the way on Thursday when I took off. Those t-storms hit the home area early and I just got lucky and threaded the needle on a couple of cells. I was home at my desk working by 10am yesterday and about 12 all hell broke looses with thunder lightning and rain.

We just did that run last year. 12 is an absolute must, long windy road with nothing but trees and the river. Stayed at the Clearwater 12 inn in Kamiah. Very biker friendly. Handed us a bucket full of towels and rags upon checkin. 12 is the kind of road that when you reach Missoula you want to turn around and do it again. Thanks for the memories.

I have to agree on Route 12.  Man.  Take it from a "flatlander"!

I've ridden in all but three states.  ND, LA and AK.  Yup, did a couple laps on Kauai!  Route 12 is the very best, IMHO.  I have many similar pics!

Thanks!
