fuel line quick disconnect queston
« on: August 05, 2012, 02:54:00 PM »

I know this is a weird question.  I just got a call from a friend of mine that is going to try to put a wet nitros system on his 103,  he was asking me if i knew where he could find a quick disconnect tee fitting that plugs into the fuel tank.  I have searched on line but havent found anything.  Has anyone found anything like that before.  I have tried to discourage him from doing this.  But he has more money than brains.  He usually uses my garage for his repairs and upgrades and such.  so this should be interesting.  We have built some pretty fast Hondas over the years but since I bought a harley he bought one. But he cant catch me.  So he put cams and exhaust in and still cant.  So this is the next thing.  Personaly I thinks its the rider.  lol.  but I told him to go with a bigger engine but he thinks this will be cheaper on gas and power when he needs it.  But I was like what the heck lets just see what happens to the sg.  most likly it will just self destruct  and I will just buy it for cheap when he goes and buy another one.   thanks if someone can help me.                                                         Todd

I saw that one my self I am not sure if it will work or not.  If it hooks on the tank I am not sure where the line to the fuel injectors plugs in uless one of the lines comes off with the hose clamps comes off and thats where it would plug in.  I still would be a little afraid to use just one clamp for the wet side goint to the fuel solenoid due to the fact it will have pressure on it all the time until the solenoid its activated.  I am not sure what the fuel pressure is off the top of my head.  But I like the idea of the longer hoses.   I plan on putting his solenoids I think above the trans behind the motor and running two purge valves out some where pretty cool not sure yet.  its up to him.  I love spending someone elses money.  I need to get some pictures of his v-max that he blew up riding wheelies.  I told him to stop doing it.  but after a while of doing it and kept doing it for so long of a time.  miles i am talking the engine would not get oil and blew it up.  Its a shame custom paint and changed over from shaft drive to chain drive and it just sits in his  back bedroom.  with about 4 other bikes he reuined.   I would buy this one when its torn up.

My bad...The one above is what some have replaced the fuel line that connects both sides of the tank that runs under the tank. It doesn't connect to the fuel line going to the throttle body it's just a quick way for those that like to remove their tanks. Sounds like what you are looking for is something that will connect the NOS up to the line that is going to the throttle body. I would think something like that would come with the NOS kit. :nixweiss:
