This morning I parked my bike on the side of the building, instead of front because there was more shade. A coworker mentioned that wasnt a good idea because no one goes over there and people could try and steal stuff. I lock my bags so I disregarded. But I got off work late this evening, walkover to my bike and see that there is now a 8" scratch down the middle of my L saddlebag lid. Whats really bad about that is I put the racks on the bags to avoid @#% like this. Damn thing runs from behind the speaker screen, all the way the back to the rack. And you can see where they really dug in. I've knocked and bumped the paint before, so I know it doesnt scratch all that easily. What pathetic sad *&^)*& just wants to screw with a stranger? Envy? sick joke? If some one had opened their car door into the bag, that would have been one thing, but something this intentional really pisses me off. I'm done now.

Very sorry to hear this! Unfortunately the world seems to full of a$$ clowns that do these things to someone else’s hard earned property. Jealously perhaps? Well there are just as many hours in their day as yours. They spend their money their way and you spend yours your way....then they screw yours up!
At least it’s the lid. No graphics there.

It takes a sorry A-hole to do that.  I was at a IHOP a couple of weeks ago and a guy came over to our table and said he saw my wife and I pull up on our bikes  and when he walked out to leave there was a dude sitting on the red bike(Mine). Thought he should come tell me. The Sum Beach scuffed up the right bag throwing his leg over the bike.

The nerve some folks have.  I had a simular experience, but caught him before he got a foot off the ground.  It did not end nice

Do you have outside camera's on your building?  Are there any other buildings near by that may use surveillance camera's that would have caught this act on tape    I would check and see if there is a possibility that it was caught on a camera.

Just curious,, was your bike parked on the sidewalk??        I've seen/heard of nasty stuff done to bikes parked on sidewalks.    Not saying its a right thing to do, but blocking ones walking path tends to piss some people off to the point they may retaliate to show the bike owner they shouldn't do that.

Had some assjerk key my helmet a while back.  I was glad it wasn't the bike.  It was properly parked in a parking lot at the local grocery.  Still trying to figure out what they stood to gain by doing that.  Jealousy?

Sorry for that keying of your bike.  It sounds like an expensive repair.
