Welcome from MN. I hauled my cycle to Fort Meyers Beach and spent January 2012 there. Made two trips to Key West, one to Ocala, one to Lake Okechobee, and several on Hwy 41. We saw lots of alagators along that road. The Everglades more than lived up to my expectaions. I also hauled my riding buddy's cycle with mine. He and his wife stayed with us for 10 days and he put 1000 miles on his cycle. Great fun for a couple guys who never get to ride in January. We found the Florida drivers to be couteous and had no problems or close calls. If we needed to get into a turn lane, someone would let us in, no one tail gated us, and the cars kept their distance when stopped at red lights or stop signs. Maybe they were concerned about the snowbirds on cycles with MN plates

Your roads are smooth without the frost heaves and cracks that we are used to. I hope my good fortune holds next January and February when I visit again.
