So I was wondering if there is any feedback on burley shocks. I trid the progressive shocks and thought ther felt better than the 12"air shocks but they hit the fender and the latest claims are that the burleys are travel limited so they wont hit the fender does anyone know if that's true or have any experience in general.
thanx
John
The only Burly shocks I've ever seen are from their "Slammer" kits, and they are only 10.5 inches long. So yes, if that's what you are talking about they are definitely travel limited. Odds are the tire would rub the fender and tear up the wiring, the bike would ride like pure crap, and the handling would suck as well.
What size were the Progressives and what exactly hit the fender? If you used the right shocks for the application and installed them correctly, neither the shocks nor the tire should have hit the fender.

I assume you're still talking about a 2003 RG.
