Thank you guys for all the prayer's and thanks for the humor Don.....lol......ouch,

The ribs hurt yea especially the continuous same pain but I will get through it, I am just glad the lung healed, to be honest that one scared me when they put the tube in (took em 3 tries) and they explained how the lung deflated somewhat. They told me the hole was small but all I could think was the worst, its funny how I always forget I'm not the one running the show of course. Well thanks to all my friends and family with the prayers I will be just fine. You guys are the best....

oh...the guy that helped was the guy directly behind me, he was scared and I surely appreciated his help. The person in front of me never stopped but it was so chaotic I heard a lot of tires screeching, who knows what he was dealing with might have just got by by the skin of his teeth. Any way I cant remember ever stooping that fast before, in traffic.

WoW!!! Sounds like you took more beating than the scoot. Glad you will both be OK after a little patching  :(

Ouch!!! Get well soon! Those ribs can deal out some misery. When I was a young man I fell real hard watersking. I tore the cartilage between my ribs. The doc said that was worse than a broke rib? Don't see how but they did bother me a for good while! Good luck healing up!

Hey, Roy, sorry to hear about this, man.  It sucks to just want to have a fun day riding and end up dealing with crap like this.  If anyone could've saved it, you would have been able to, so it must have been a freak or totally unavoidable deal.  I hope you heal up quickly and are riding again soon.  Maybe the down time will help generate more ideas for mods. :)

When ever I open this subject line I am very concerned about what happened, (how serious the injuries or worse)
Sorry this happened and glad it was not worse!

Also I alway think about why we really do it? We see regularly how really fragile we all are? There is I am sure no one answer, it's different for us all..but from time to time I still wonder....

Get well real soon..

Prayers your way for a quick recovery.  Interesting that your steering went left.  Makes me wonder if your tire slid.

Roy, sorry to hear of your accident and injuries.  It's good to hear you're home and doing okay.  I've had rib injuries before and know that every breath reminds you of it.  Hope you feel better soon!   :2vrolijk_21:

I wish you a speedy recovery. Broken ribs and a punctured lung suck. Been there, done that when I was 16 yrs old. Healed up a lot faster then.

Just checking in on ya Roy, hope you're on the mend.  Takes 'forever' it seems like for the pain to subside, but maybe sooner than later.  Let us hear when you feel up to it.  spyder

Thanks Spy, I thought I was making good progress by getting on the exercise bike last Monday and feeling pretty good but it does seem like its taking forever. Trying to get totally off pain medication but dealing with the same constant pain, seems like I've made no progress the last 4 days. Looked at the bike and found to my surprise really no damage just some scratches on the crash bars. Just hard to keep from being depressed not riding or having any plans to go anywhere. I guess its from my being so busy at work planning to go on some trips this summer and this episode put a damper on that. Just getting through the days waiting to feel better.

Thanks everyone for the concerns and the get well wishes...I guess its hard to be myself these days
