Blue Angels - NEW HD
« on: September 09, 2012, 02:01:14 PM »

The music is a little monotonous but the aerobatics are pretty spectacular!

Did you know that the pilot on the right of the formation is always a Marine?

This is one of the best Blue Angel videos you'll see!! Great perspective with much of it filmed from the cockpit.

You see the formation then see it from the pilot or camera view. It is in HD; Hope your computer can handle it.

This was recorded in FL. And El Centro , CA

 Great show.
Here is one of my all time favorites, with much better music (my opinion), back in the A-4 days.

Great video.

If you've never seen this series on TV, it is one of the best documentaries I have ever seen. Follows the Blues through an entire year. A fair amount of drama and an incredible amount of self discipline. Highly recommended.

Agreed!  That is a great series.

I used to work with a few former Blue Angel pilots when I was still enlisted.  The stories were amazing.

Crazy to think, these guys "fly by paint"....the commander flies the group, and the other pilots in the formation have their heads turned, looking at his jet.  Keeps the distance tight, and requires ridiculous trust.

Nice video!

You must have went out to Mather to see them last weekend?  They were flying over the house quite a bit.....got our own air show right from the front yard. :2vrolijk_21:

JC,, i missed that.. i knew about the Air Show but didn't know the Angles were showing..  The week before the show a formation of three B-52's flew low over our house, also  several other vintage, military and private, aircraft flying over on their way in..   :2vrolijk_21:

On a second note of military show.. a couple weeks ago i was stopped at a railroad crossing in Lincoln. There must of been over a mile of rail cars all loaded with Military Vehicles, Tanks, Bradley's, Jeeps and support equipment.. The rail cars were headed north, either heading in our out  :nixweiss:  Kind of neat when you see that much military support in one place..
