I talked to Alvis tonight about his helmets. He said they are Harley Davidson brand Part # 97395-07V. Suggested Retail $159.00. He thought they were only available to dealers in a fall 06 special purchase catalog. He looked for them for weeks at different dealers then a very helpful person at the Salina KS dealership got on her computer and said they still showed some in stock at the Harley warehouse and ordered them for him. He had them a week later. He said he really likes them and they are very comfortable.

Great looking bike. The red definitely is THE color for 2007. I'm concerned about Alvis though. The frown on his face is troublesome. With a beautiful bike between his legs and an approving wife on board, he should have a smile on his face.

By the way, when I spoke with Alvis this evening, I told him that he has been getting a lot of grief on this site about the alleged frown on his face in the photo. He informed me that his computer is still on the fritz and he has been unable to read the trash talk. However he told me to inform everyone that he takes his motorcycle riding VERY SERIOUSLY!!  I know for a fact the only thing he might take more seriously than motorcycle riding would be his bull riding. I was fortunate this summer to be able to see him ride a very famous bull in Dodge City Kansas and get this picture.

I wonder what software version his radio has and if his CB transmitts OK?

i don't know what software version is on the radio, but the CB works good, just got back from a short trip with others and it was ok.  got about 3,000 miles on it now.

they are harley-davidson helments. I think marty had posted the part number for me. the harley dealership in rogers arkansas, which is called pig trail harley ( just opened 2 or 3 weeks ago) did have them, because we stopped there for ther grand opening & i saw them there.
