If it's in Western Canada...and my sched allows, I'd attend. Don't do it in Edmonton or Calgary.....we may all end up with 'noise' tickets.

still trying to get around myself    :2vrolijk_09:     :pumpkin:

Okanagan Valley gets does get congested, How about Selkirk Loop Tour even go far north as Revelstoke as far west Vernon as far east as Creston (this is Nelson area expanded)in my opinion world class riding example, somewhat rustic :2vrolijk_21:   :pumpkin:

My three favorite cities in North America:  Montreal, Vancover, and Toronto, in that order.

I would LOVE to have a GTG in the great state of Canada!   :) :) :)

Dan

PS  Yes, I know it's a not a state, but Canada's still family.

Anywhere in the BC interior works for me as we have a place in Lake Country between Kelowna and Vernon. The SESG is out there now after a 900km ride last Friday without so much as a cloud in the sky. :)

It's geezerglide, I am in Calgary. As Rooster mentioned earlier we had a Canadian CVO GTG approximately four - five years ago. We all meet in Nelson, BC drove around that area; Then up to Kelowna over to Kamloops up Highway 5 to Jasper, then down the Columbia Icefield Highway to Lake Louise and then over to Banff.

As earlier mentions the Nelson, Salmo, Creston areas would be great into Kimberley, Fairmont, Radium  areas would be good also, however summer congestion may leave shortages of rooms. The Okanagan/Penticton/Merritt  areas would also be great, however a lot of congestion.

Another thought might be Rocky Mountain House or Red Deer area, from there you have a lot of great country and mountain riding.

Just a thought.

Another Canuck here. I'd welcome a GTG in BC especially the Okanagan or Kootenay.s. I might even bring my husband. He has a CVO RGU but isnt a member so I'd have to ponder that one  :)

You name the time and place and I will be there........
Unless I have to travel East of Alberta!
There is some incredible riding in this country but unfortunately, it is on both coats with many thousands of boring miles in between.

I like hockey, maple syrup and bacon...Not a Cananadaian though... :-\

X2, eh?

My dad was born in NY, but his family moved to Montreal before he was a year old.  Grew up there, played for the Canadiens as a semi-pro back in the '20s.  He passed when I was 19, and I never realized he had a Montreal accent until I heard a reel-to-reel tape of him about 6 years ago.  I also didn't know he spoke French until I was about 13.  We had a French/Canadian Boy Scout executive, and he started speaking French to him.  Virginian Beach also became a favorite vacation spot for Quebecois.  We would go to the beach, and he would speak with people on the street that looked lost.  When we got an AHL franchise, he took me to the games regularly.  Been 47 years and I still miss him.  I wish I had the opportunity to have a relationship with him as an adult.  One of my few regrets.

Any one out there know about or remember back from the late 50's to late 60's a small town club called 101 knights from Powell River B.C.. Club shut down end of 60's for reasons I won't go in to but hay those were good day's. My first ride there was a pre war 1938/9 500cc Panther found it in the bush behind an old garage  :2vrolijk_21:.Looked like this one.  Any how just wondering.
