Thanks!  I already put on the Billet Boys LED tail light, Clearview 9.5 dark tint, and the Harley mini Boards off my FLHTK!

She's got a nice rear end, don't you think? :apple:

Here's my impressions, riding it home on the freeway.  The front end seemed a little squirrley on the freeway though it tracked pretty good.  When I got to a downhill on a surface street it tracked straight, while letting go of the handlebars at 35-40.  The rear brake seems like it is minimally functioning, so I'll have to check that out.

The bike handles as great as the FLHTK.  The seat, though too big for my rear end, is very comfortable and the bike rides smoother than the FLHTK which has Progressive 412's & Mustand saddle.  I may have Corbin or Devine Customs add some padding to close the gap between the backrest and my rear, but I will have some new pullback bars put on first.  The seat is impressive.  The bike shifts very nice & no problem finding neutral, etc.  The bikes has good power and should really scoot after a cam, a 2-1 pipe, TTS, and a dyno tune.  I'll put a couple thousand on it first.

The accessories I got with the bike are mind blowing as I didn't realize they gave you so much chit with the bike, which make sense due to the cost.  The bike has mitigated most of my guilt for spending this type of money on a two wheeler.

I bought the GAP & Service Contract at a good discount.  Once I met the Finance guy in person we actually got along quite well and he made a substantial discount on the extra's and introduced me to service & had them print out exactly the cost & savings would be.  We talked about our FXDX's which really broke the ice.

The salesman was great from the beginning though the 1st co-owner was trying to sweat me during the negotiations.  I met the other (2nd) co-owner who was very attentive and made sure my bike was fitted to my liking and had them removed the mini-boards from my FLHTK and put them on my CVO while I sat on it. The 2nd co-owner didn't miss a thing, noticing the heat shields and foot rests weren't mounted, introduced himself and wasn't satified until I was satisfied.  No trying to move me on after the contract!

The (2nd) co-owner, saleman, wrench, & detail stoodby with me in the service bay until everything was completed & checked to my satisfaction.

The detail guy went over the bike with me as well!  Overall a very good buying experience and it made me feel alot better about what I was getting, the competence of the staff, & especially service.

A great day riding home, for sure!  I got clearly the best deal of the five dealerships I negotiated with.

What you have to watch for is 2k off sticker, then 2k off your trade.  They know all the tricks, the earlier comment about establishing a relationship with the dealer is BS.  In todays business model, you are not a valued customer, you are only todays deal.  Its odd that the dealers up north and in California are offering discounts on CVOs, while the dealers here in the south are still pushing markups on CVOs.  The dealer in Macon is only getting five 2013 CVOs and those will be sold before they even arrive.

Ive decided that future bikes will be CVOs but Im buying used.

I'll disagree with the above, but considering the relationship I personally have with my dealer, it isnt only about the deal today.

For most walk-ins, a H-D is an impluse purchase, so yes, the deal is now.

For those that have established relationships with dealers, there is no BS... A dealership that wants to keep a long term customer will do what it takes to make the deal happen.

For every one guy with a positive relationship with any kind of dealer I bet I can find five others  who have been screwed, including me on more than one occasion.

Here are a couple recent examples of the great relationship between dealers and customers.

A disabled vet I know bought a brand spanking new tri-glide, he is 55 years old and this is his first new bike.  At 5k the rear brakes went completely out.  Dealership told him that brakes are a wear and tear item and not covered under the warrenty, they wouldnt even look at the trike.  Guy went to another dealer, the service manager determined that the entire braking system was defective and changed almost every component.  That "great relationship" cost the first dealer 4 customers, they left with their friend.

A friend of mine bought his first harley.  The selling dealership has performed all maintenence, and the guy has spent about 10k in accessories/upgrades from the selling dealership.  He went in for his 15k service and the service department cracked the windshield while installing a windshield bag.  They only charged him $50 to replace it under his extended warrenty that he bought from them when he bought the bike.  He has also left for another dealership.

I can go on and on, in almost 40 years of riding, I have owned a lot of bikes and have had a lot of experiences with dealers.  The definition of a good customer is one who spends a lot of money, loyalty and doing the right thing are from a bygone era.  Unfortantly, that good dealer/customer relationship is now the exception, not the norm.

Anyway, congrats on the new ride, its always fun to get a new toy, especially when its the latest and greatest!

No, actually the stalemate occurred when the co-owner would not budge on $308 for some reason so I offered to compromise by spliting the difference ($150).  Apparently the co-owner felt I at least met him halfway and there was not reason to lose a deal on a $37K bike.  And if you think I'm a better than you, I say thankyou for the compliment! :2vrolijk_21:
