Did you have to do any drilling for the Stealth 111?

Is it much trouble to get to and bolt it on?

Just reach up under the rear fender and unbolt it and then bolt on the Yaffee.  It's a small locknut, so a 1/4" drive socket is small enough to fit or a gear wrench.  I had to trim the plate down a little to make it fit the braket.

Anyone with questions on license plate frames might find this thread helpful.

On my 12 SGSE3 I had to remove the backer plate and drill out the thread bushings in the plate.

On my 12 SGSE3 I had to remove the backer plate and drill out the thread bushings in the plate.

On mine there were several small screws that held the chrome front to the metal back of the license plate braket.  Remove them, insert your plate and replace them, no drilling required at all.

To remove the reflector:
Take the license plate off.
Remove the 2 torx bolts/screws which are on the top section holding the license plate holder on.
Use side cutters to cut the reflector to free it from the license plate light wire.
Assembly is reverse of removal.

Doesn't removing the reflector leave a gap (slotted opening) where it passed through the rubber mounting gasket that sits between the license plate light and rear fender?

This is the slot I'm referring to, guess I'll run a very small bead of black silicone over it?
