That is all I wanted to do for years Don. Last time the shuttle landed at Edwards I rode out for that sole purpose, got to the gate 10 seconds too late, i was the first vehicle denied access at the gate  >:(.
Had to work Friday and wanted to set up at Plant 42 ( Where they all were built ) and wait for my last chance to get my bike and the shuttle in the same shot....Couldn't do it. Having seen it come in for maintenance on the 747 before it is unreal how hard that plane is throttled up, fantastic AMERICAN power! Well done Don.....

Life begins just outside your comfort zone and you havent lived until you push a full dress harley on a hot day up a grade because your low mile twincam fell apart, and your convinced it's to bitchen to leave it there.           Ugh pardon me but do you have any beer?

Cool pictures.  :2vrolijk_21:

Having watched the shuttle launch a few times it must be cool to see it travelling at a slightly slower pace....

A few weeks back I read some where that they were going to chop down like 400 mature trees to get it from the air port to the place where its going to stay at for display.  May be you could get your bike pictured with the stumps also.  If you are from around that area.  What is it like to have it being there I personaly think it would be a honor.   Is there a big battle about transporting it from point  A to point B?  The pictures are great by the way.  You must have a really good camera cause they are very clear and where you are at i am suprised there is not a lot of people waiting for it to arrive.  I was supprised how big it was compared to airplane.  I thought it was a little smaller than that myself.   Lucky to have that amazing piece of history with your CVO.       Todd
