had mine put into my 2012 skunk before we went to panama city rally. We left at 6 am and they really lit up the night,   it almost looks like you are riding in a TRON game

Unhooking the battery shouldn't dump the programming in the garage door transmitter.

My bike is at the dealer for some minor warranty work. Gonna have a set of the black and chrome installed. What do I need to do to get the garage door opener working again? It will not work anymore right?

Never mind. Not paying another dime at the dealer that I don't have to.

I got to call custom dynamics then. I also have plugged to the light harness JDO tour pack turning light thing, maybe thats what it  is. Why is the picture on its side?? It looks straight when I took it and downloaded to the computer !! weird!

The GDO transmitter is wired directly to the high/low beam wires on the headlamps, so nothing you did to the turn signals should have any effect on the GDO.  Try re-pairing the GDO per the instructions that came witht he GDO.

Thanks! I found one of the turning light was faulty. I put back on the original bulb and voila ! the GDO worked again. I do not know how that happened , cause as you say is wired directly to the HL beams, however with the load equalizer that they provide can't tell with my very little experience if it could affect current, amperage or else to the rest of the electrical wiring since it connects directly to the battery.

Sorry to hear that you found a faulty part...I'm sure CD will take care of it for you.

Don't get why it made the GDO not work though  :nixweiss:  I do know this for a fact:  The GDO transmitter is very sensitive to ANY amount of feedback voltage...if the voltage does not drop to 0 Volts on the high/low beam wires when operating the switch, you'll have problems.  When I put the HID's on my bike, it dealt me fits trying to figure it out.  Finally just put a Flash to Pass transmitter/receiver in and stopped beating my head against a wall.  You can also do it by installing a relay that isolates the power going to the transmitter on the high/low beam wires.

Nevermind, had it done anyway! Long story, but they took care of me so i moved ahead with the install and am super glad I did!  :pepper:

Lights look great, and my garage door opener works fine!'

How do you get just the "bar and shield" to light up? I just installed mine and heard that if you turned the ignition to acc if would come on but I tried that with no luck..

Is the only difference if hooked up that it will light up on the acc position? I do see that when the lights are on (bike on), they do light up.

Yes.  They all light up with the ignition on or high beam.  However if you want just the Bar and shield to light up, the little wire on the head light harness has to be connected to the acc wire in the fairing.
