Ed,
Just getting caught up on this thread in my opinion there is no way I would consider this whining. Once you set the ground rules of what you expect and how you want your bike to be treated either they can conform to your standards or tell you to take your business somewhere else. Either way you as the customer in the end will be happy.

I constantly remind the service manager and techs that work on my scooter that I'm anal so they don't forget it. Most (all) of the time I bring my bike in for service it's clean, and the majority of the time (depending on what's getting done) I don't have them wash it. The few times I do are to get the oil from around the frame and motor from major service, but I still bring it home and detail it afterwards. On numerous occasions the wash guys will ask me why I've even had them wash the bike, because it was cleaner before they started. My reply is what I mentioned before, just to get some of the oil off before riding it home, and having it spread all over the bike.

Hopefully your attention to detail and bringing your concerns back to the Service Manager/General Manager and ultimately to the technician will have them be more concerned/careful of how they treat your scooter.

I have the parts book here in the office but it has the part number, no sizes on the gaskets. Where is the best place for the aftermarket gaskets?

Ed
You should be able to go any aftermarket shop to get them.

Ed...no way you are being unreasonable, man!  I would be very upset over the brake fluid being all over the bike like that, especially when I know how you like to keep things clean on the bike.  That is just totally unacceptable, both from a keeping it clean standpoint, and the methods they must have used in changing things out/bleeding the line.  Haven't they ever heard of shop towels to put over the painted parts to perform this kind of service?

Hope you get things resolved to your satisfaction, and sorry I missed this post earlier!

I would say it is more like whimpering, if it were most of us on this site ( me included) we would probably raise all sorts of He!!, and make total a$$holes out of ourselves (at least I know I probably would). Then after we get home and tell our wife how we acted, we will have to make the obligatory apologetic phone call to the dealer the next day. ;) ;) ;)

Being 6'3" 275lbs I don't have to raise too much hell. I just take a really deep breath let my chest swell, and watch everyone in the immediate area gasping for air since I've consumed the majority of it. Then I get this "crazed" look on my face [smiley=furious.gif] [smiley=evil2.gif] that they know w/o a doubt that I'm not to happy. I then calmly exhale, and let those around me catch there breath :o and start to explain to them my dissatisfaction in whatever may be the case and for some reason they understand and will try to accommodate me. I warn you now D00d; you ever try that chit with me I'm gonna fart in the vacuum you create.  When you have to take that next breath you'll pass out.   While you're down I'll paint pink flowers on your body, put your hat and thong on you, and put a daisy in one hand with a tin cup in the other.  The sign at your feet will read "Do you really want this to be homeless and on YOUR street?"     [smiley=banana.gif] [smiley=pumpkin.gif] [smiley=jalapeno.gif]

I figured the only time I would have to do this when you were around is to keep someone from giving you chit. [smiley=nixweiss.gif] To think that you would do this to me when I come to your defense. :o [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]

Dood,
i guess in a way I was curious if my standards were too high. All I want is for it to be as good or better when I get it back. That's what people demand of me and I pass that on the my crews.
