I've been away from the site for awhile, spending all my time painting the new place and now the old place to get it ready for renting out. My left hand is semi-permanently NUMB from holding paint brushes - but I can still easily pull in my 9 lb clutch lever!

And Wiz is right... We got separated from the group last Sunday at a traffic light, and when it turned green I let the Honey Badger RIP! I pulled a wheelie shifting to second, and a smaller one shifting to third! NO slippage at all...  :bananarock:

The ClutchWIZ RULES!  :2vrolijk_21:

Update.... TGlideStuff now carries the Evolution 480 spring and sells it as a package. I think it's 37 bucks shipped. You guys that have been buying the 480 spring from AIM will spend 60 bucks shipped. Same spring made by same people, Evolution Ind.

Remember... I don't sell this stuff. Just passing along the info.

Thats a great deal if you want to deal with this company.   :-\  I have found their customer service AWOL and their website states "in stock" when items are still sitting in China.  Good luck  :D

It took hundreds of sales to payback his product development and overhead. Once that was done and the CW was a consistent seller out the door he lowered the price by 20 bucks I think.

Dennis keeps the CW in stock. The Evolution Ind spring isn't a China import. They are USA. http://www.evolution-industries.com/

They only keep so much in stock and Dennis can only order so many at a time so he keeps an order a head. Even now he is waiting on back order springs. (I just called and asked him) They should be at his shop in a few days.

Like to do slow speed maneuvers, does the Clutch Wiz have any effect on the friction zone?

Friction zone feels the same, just easier pull.

Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be anything that can be done to change the friction zone on hydraulic clutches. They are not adjustable in this regard like cable clutches are.

I guess I have just gotten used to the hydro clutch friction zone feel. Although I would like the engagement to be closer to the grip than it is, I don't know of any way to achieve that with a hydro clutch.

That said, I do love being able to pull the clutch lever in so easily... with two fingers!  :2vrolijk_21:

I've got about 300 miles on my new combination (Hayden/Barnett Kevlar+1/480# spring/Clutch Wiz).  Under normal riding conditions I was somewhat underwhelmed....Yes, the pull at the lever was a little lighter.  Yes, the bike went into gear a little easier.  But there was no massive difference.

I beat on it a little today, and now I'm impressed.  My old clutch must have been slipping, because I pulled the front tire off the ground twice, and that's not happened before.  Fast gear changes were smooth and positive, the lever pull was perfect, the bike feels like it's accelerating harder, and the friction zone is just about perfect.

For the $350 spent, this was a great upgrade.

What can you guys tell me about the "+1" kit? I installed what I believe is the same thing on my wife's Sportster. In the Sportster there is what the call a "Spring Plate" and this is removed and replaced with 2 Steel Plates and 1 Friction Plate.

Is there a Spring Plate that I remove on the Big Twin Clutch to make room for the +1?

Just take out all the stock clutch disc's and steel's. The +1 kit disc's are thinner and are the same stack height as a OEM clutch. I would recommend removing the damper spring and leaving the damper washer in only. This will ease some of the spacing between the disc's and you can find neutral easier.

I have a lock up on the 124 and blower and it releases al the way out. Not sure if that is a function of too much fluid or what. will this device help me?
