I've been harbouring a suspicion that the MoCo has been offering incentives to dealers here (I guess that means a reduced price!) in the UK to take unsold CUSE7 models, but only in the Wicked Sapphire and Stardust Silver colours. It started when, not long before the Dealer meeting, one appeared at my local dealership. I thought it was strange, because they don't normally get them without a buyer, especially just a few weeks before the new model year's models are announced! I've never known them to get one so late in the [model] year before at all, in fact.
Then looking on the UK ebay site, up come three in a row, one above the other, when searching on "Harley Screamin Eagle" - again, all the same colour..... [see photo] The first two are at the same dealer, though the second one is "used" despite having 7 miles only on it (!!) Third one is at a Honda dealer, maybe they took it as a trade-in. It was registered on 18th July, so again, very late in the model year - done 2750 miles, so used for one trip at a guess....
£29999 (the price of the top one) is full list (around $48500 US). Looking at the price of the third one - £23495/$37950 - that a big chunk of depreciation in two months though, eh? Maybe it means that Joe Public is at last looking at Harley's prices and deciding they really are taking the p*ss!
Anyone else anywhere in the world noticed a sudden late-in-the-model-year influx of Wicked Sapphire and Stardust Silver models at their local dealers?
