Update on Colby 22 months after crisis

Many of you may remember me asking for your prayers and good thoughts for my best friend's grandson when he was born. Colby was born with acute Merconium Aspiration Syndrome and spent his 1st couple of months on an ECMO and fighting for his life. I've gotten some inquires of late asking how Colby is doing so I am attaching a photo taken this past weekend. Colby is a happy little boy who takes delight in everybody and everything around him. He has shown no effect of losing 1/2 of one lung and is in every way a normal kid other than all of us who know him feel he has an "old soul"  Thanks again to everyone for the support and encouragement when this wonderful child needed it most !

My daughter is an RN on a Pediatric floor... to see some of the things kids have to go through and them still able to be kids gives an "COBB" like me all the reason in the world to shut up and suck up what is wrong (hurting) with me.

You won't find a picture of him that doesn't look like he's the perfect little boy, but trust me, He's into his Terrible Twos already and he won't be two for another month. We had BBQ pork and beans Upta Camp one day when a bunch of family and friends were helping me bring in the dock etc and after lunch we had to take a break to get the food off the ceiling, walls, windows you name it. His father says "he is testing his boundaries" His grandfather replied "yeah well he's just plain pissin me off "  hahahahahahaha
