Sorry, I thought it was CVO exclusive.

I'd say the Limited is more of a Buick than a Chevy, but I agree with what you are saying.

To the OP:
It's only going to be worth it (dollar wise) if you are going to do a few of those add ons.
If you are staying stock go with the Limited.

I am not sure what you mean by "staying stock" on a HD.... ;D ;D   Isn't that a part of owning a motorcycle, making it your own..... :2vrolijk_21:

Definite adds:
If going with the nonCVO, some type of kit to give it a little more get up and go if needed

and

Chrome floorboards front and back.
new grips
windshield
chrome heel/toe shifter and linkage
Rinehart true duals or something similar (mellow but not loud) [Recommendations????]
Chrome brake pedal
chrome control button covers
???????

Just need to get to a dealer sometime with both models and line them up side by side and make my list to come up with the final cost.

Trap Shooter, Before I bought my 09 SEUC, I compared what I would have to do to a stock Ultra to make it the way I wanted. When you consider the cost of braided cables and all the other extras, plus add in the hassle of going to the shop if you don't do the upgrades yourself it didn't make sense to get the Ultra then add what I wanted. If I lose a little more when the time comes to sell so be it. Using a lot of time (going to the dealer and back) and spending a lot of money to get even part of the extras a CVO comes with  compared to an regular Ultra made it a  very easy decision for me. I know a lot of us are concerned about resale before we even buy, but in this case I wanted the top of the line so I put that out of the equation. CAHDBIKER

You already get the upgraded floorboards, heated grips are standard, you get a chrome shifter & linkage, brake pedal, etc. No chrome buttons, but you do get chrome controls & levers. Everyone changes their exhaust regardless of which model they get. A new windshield is less than $200.

The seat on the CVO is a $700 upgrade ($500 for the non-heated model) Well worth it by the way. You will hate the stock seat on the Limited.
A Chrome front end will cost about $800 to have a dealer do. It really finishes the front end.
A painted inner fairing is about $500 to have a dealer do. It really finishes the paint on the bike.
The radio amp and speakers is at least  $500 upgrade
A slight power upgrade will cost you about $1,500 to $2,000 for the Limited

You will change the exhaust on either model, so same expense on either bike (Rineharts are not a "mellow but not loud" muffler)
The other things you think you need is under $500

Texas, your a little off on your prices.

Retail on the painted inner is $550 + tax, your not getting out of a dealership for under 1k installed.

Seats are pretty subjective, Ive sat on a bunch of them and I prefer the oem Ultra seat.  Im keeping the heated seat for the winter, and using the oem Ultra seat for the summer.

The chrome front end including lowers, cowbells, axle covers, spacers, and labor is also running about 1k now.

The Ultra is a very nice bike, but I like the bling and the CVO is the only way to go for me.

What exhaust would you recommend for the mellow but not loud description??

Anyone have any feedback on the 2 into 1 exhaust?

The way that I have looked at my last couple of purchases.  I could buy a 2 - 3 year old CVO Ultra with low mileage for the same (or less) price than a new non-CVO Ultra.  Extended out the warranty and good to go.  Don't believe the price they put on the used bike, find out what system your dealer uses and know what it is worth before you talk with them.  Mine uses the NADA.

Works for me.

Priced out one yesterday and a 2013 EGU Limited was coming out to about $34k, but that included some things that didn't come on the SEUC.

Can a new owner of a used bike extend the warranty if the orig owner did not get it?  Would I have to buy the bike from a dealer only or can I buy one from an individual and go direct to HD and purchase an extended warranty.

What?  Sounds like you need to go to another dealer.  Not sure what add-ons you're talking about, but that's about $10K too high.

With those costs, the bike still is not close to the ammenities on the CVO for about the same dollars!  I paid 35K for my CVO Ultra.
