I'm saying this with a smile, "Sales are great at Harley-Davidson"!
Seems the engine plant was shut down last week for "inventory adjustments"!!
I have a few friends that work there.
Go figure!

I still think someone in HD needs to figure out how in the World some of us have to wait months on the CVO they want, instead of the MOCO being able to assemble & ship out bikes to dealers that have the Buyers.  Makes no sense to me.  Instead, they want to churn out stock everyday HDs that some sit on the floor for too long.

No wonder they have left overs,,,by that time people are waiting to see what the new models will look like.

I have to admit, I find a lot of NEW CVO's on Chopperexchage, and
other sites that are new 2012's so I think they are slowing down
deliveries to get them off the floor! I think "if" the factory gave the
dealer's kick backs...............they MIGHT get rid of the over stock?
I for one only liked the Blue RG, and I can still find new ones of those!
Wife said new Ultra or nothing, and I love the 13 Stardust, but damn,
let me have one at my dealer of choice!

Tazmun, my local HD dealer always has a floor full of inventory. A lot of the bikes have sold tags on them, and the salesman who I bought mine from sayes sales are brisk. Seems like every time I am there he is writing up a sale. I go in there enough so I  do notice a quite a change in inventory over say a 10-14 day period. It is only 6 miles away and they have free donuts on Sat mornings, and of course coffee all the time, plus a lot of little get together/sales promotions where they feed you free hot dogs and hamburgers soda's, bottle water etc. The staff is really friendly and helpful and the owner is very in touch with the people who come in. I have never seen a CVO Ultra that is not sold by the time it hits the floor. I made them keep my 09 in the back until I picked it up. My response is a little off topic, but I just wanted to throw that out there because of all the dealer bashing I read about. I do not work for HD in any form, but as someone else said they should make more CVOs. CAHDBIKER

The Minute something becomes difficult to obtain everybody wants one , be it Smart Phones or CVO,s once they become readily available interest lags, I can remember in the late 90's bikers lining up by the hundreds for lottery drawings to purchase a new harley at MSRP. once they upped production it all stopped.

Not sure but I just looked on chopperexchange and there are no new and 4 used SE bikes, one SG, one RG, and two softails. no new ones. Looked there before I purchased mine mid summer and no COV ultras new or used on there at that time either.

Not sure where some guys get that there are a bunch for sale on there.
