The NOAA hurricane web site has the little dot predicting the eye of the storm on Tues at 0800 right on top of my house. Rats. Hope all you east coast CVO'ers can swim. Good luck and stay dry.        JoeS

The real threat is the arctic front moving in from the west. A similar weather collision gave us the perfect storm, one of 4 major storms to hit is in 1.5 years, including the "storm of the century" (Halloween 91 Storm aka Perfect Storm, January 92 Storm, December 92 Nor'easter, March 93, Storm of the Century)

One of the weather models even has a prediction of up to 2 feet of snow in  West Virginia 

Right now the tracking puts the eye south of us on Tuesday, putting us in the northeast quadrant with the highest winds and the tornado spawns. And my shift is on Tuesday

North Georgia Hawg: that's cool. At least the dot on the projected map for Tues has moved off of my house, still gonna be wet though. Looks like Jersey shore landfall. The beaches are going to get hammered and NYC may go underwater. Heard guys on the Weather Channel were mad at Delaware for not taking the storm serious enough!!!??? Oh well, weather's nice right now so I'm going for a ride.     JoeS

Supplies are stocked up, generator is tuned. Went for a nice ride today on the backroads since EVERYONE is in town buying every battery and bottle of watter in sight.....
Might be just me but there's ALWAYS a supply of batteries, several working flashlights, and Several days of fuel for the generator on hand, and usually we keep a case or more of bottled water around in case I run out of beer 

Hopefully everyone gets through the "Frankenstorm" or whatever they are calling it this hour with a minimum amount of damage and or inconvenience.. As for me I'll be working right on through the thing -- goes with the territory when working for a utility company

be safe phato1, I am  heading that way into damaged areas the with a team of insurance people from all around the country for several carriers to get the claims looked at that come in. (Molly will be staying home )  Hopefully not too bad on damages and nobody hurt is all we ask for.

I live on the CT coast. This seems to be a repeat of a year ago with Irene then that freak Halloween snow storm. People around here are going nuts as well.
