Tour Pack Back Rest
« on: October 30, 2012, 09:23:36 AM »

I have a 2005 SEEG with the chopped tour pack. After 59,000 miles the wife is complaining about her back rest. I called Mustang and asked if their back rest would fit on a chopped tour pack but they said it would not. Has anyone put a different back rest on their chopped tour pack? Need to keep the wife happy.

Thanks,

Sunman

I have a 2000 CVO Road Glide (among others) that also has a chopped tour-pak.  We took it on a trip and after about a hundred miles my wife was crying.  She could do 600 mile days back to back to back on the ultra but this thing just hurt.

The 2000 model was different for the chopped than it was for the regular tour-pak.  I actuallly changed to a regular backrest, had to drill a couple of more holes, but she does not have any problems with that bike now.

That is what we did.

Thanks for the reply. I will check into it. I was hoping that the regular tking tour pack back rest could be used.

Thanks again,

Yes it can.  I have one on my '05 SEEG Chopped T-Pak.
