Just installed D&D Boss FatCat
« on: November 03, 2012, 11:43:35 AM »

I decided to sell my Dragos Dragula 2 in to 1 for a D&D FatCat Boss 2 into 1. I went with the unwrapped perforated baffle because I run Woods cams. That's what D&D recommends. Man-O-Live does this thing sound good! It's loud but you can tame the pipe if need be. You don't want to be on the right side of me when I stab the throttle. LOL

The best part of this new design is the rear headpipe. They curved it in more than the old style. No heat on the right leg when you put your feet down and I can also run my mid frame heat shield again. I couldn't with the Dragos without notching a hole in it.

The quality of this pipe is Excellent everywhere! If you're considering a D&D don't hesitate. They're a little more money than some other options but definitely worth it.

I definitely have more power than I did with the Dragula. I rode yesterday with a buddy of mine and he used to kinda hang with me but now I leave him sitting there. We did a 1st gear roll on through the gears up to maybe 80 and a 4th gear roll on. No question I have more power everywhere.

AMS Motomachine and supply gave me a good deal on the pipe and ghost pipe. Great guys to deal with. They got me the pipe quick.

Sounds like good news for me too! :pineapple:  I'm looking forward to removing the boat anchors off my bike! :P

Good luck with the D&D's!

If I may be so bold as to offer a suggestion, get a can of flat dark grey or flat black paint and shoot the inside of the exit end of the ghost pipe.

Did you sell your Drago's? I'm sure you're aware he offers a performance guarantee, but you have to show both dyno graphs and they have to be done within a week of each other I believe.

Did you do anything else other than just the pipe swap, or any other variables? (ie- Drago ran a canned map, D&D had a custom tune?).

Is your D&D a lot louder?

I just had put the same setup on. Man are they LOUD!!!

Louder than Fullsac baffles and CFR's but to me they are kinda raspy. But I wanted to make noise and have performance and that's what I got! :2vrolijk_21:

Just took a look at D&D's website- nice to see they upgraded it- the information, and your options are layed out much more clearer than their old website.

I always wondered why very, very few people seem to run the D&D slip ons  :nixweiss:

I bought his Dragula pipe.  I'm a Propipe (last 3 bikes) guy, but decided to try something different.  For 06Ultra the pipe was a little too quiet, but for me it probably won't be quiet enough.  I'm just a die hard 2-1 guy, first and foremost.  I like the looks and performance of a 2-1 pipe and the Dragula from what I've reading has performed very well, it looks great, and apparently good quality.  I'll have Dyno Bob tune the bike and see what I get.

I may drop in a cam, but I will probably leave for now stock until I get some miles on it (I just had my 1k service) and I just don't know much about the 110 reliability, and if takes a dump, I want it to be on Moco's dime.

Very Nice.
I have the same setup on my SESG. Same bike to be exact.
I love mine. It gets louder with some miles. Not too bad though.
 Good luck.

I have that setup also and absolutely love it. Though they certainly are loud to the people around you (not always such a bad thing...) they are really not that load to the driver. Enjoy them!

Yeah, old post but I'm about to put this exhaust on my bike and maybe I'm a dumbass but what's the need to spray the inside of the ghost pipe with paint???
