The interview I saw....."he was timing my kicks and he'd throw a punch....so I waited until he threw his punch and came at him with the over hand right.....I got lucky".  The punch was calculated and planned and his timing was impecable! :2vrolijk_21:

And now that UFC bought Strikeforce it's only a matter of time before we'll see the women fighting in UFC.  Some of them are really, really good. 

For those that's seen her fight, Andy's daughter, Kerry Vera is up there on top.  It's no secreat that she really loves the sport, she's been doing it since she was 8 yrs. old.  Just pray that she's able to overcome the nagging back issue and get back to her normal self again. :2vrolijk_21:

Rich half-azzed round kicked with his left leg while throwing his left arm behind his body. Looked like he was scratching his butt, leaving his left side completely open to Cung. Cung tightens his right leg to take the kick, both hands up in front for defense. Rich quickly tries to get his left hand forward while throwing his right behind to load. (His whole upper body is unprotected.) Cung drops his right hand down and around Rich's left arm loaded for a round and lands it.

Cung is still pretty new to MMA (not new to competing) and so has been learning a lot of the basic MMA skills and they are fresh in his mind.

Rich was one of the best and is now a veteran. Veterans seem to forget that the basic skills are 90% of the fight.

Cung was being modest by saying the punch was lucky. Maybe he meant the opportunity luckily appeared. He was battle prepared for an opportunity and took advantage of it.

Hands-up, hands-up, hands-up.  :carrot:
