Question on floor covering/treatment for a newer trailer
« on: November 14, 2012, 09:58:13 AM »

I finally found a portable man cave and want to start making it my own. The first thing I want to start with is treating the floor. I made a call to the local Line X place and he said it would be around $1,500.00 for the floor and ramp. By my silence he knew it was not going to go for that so he said that there were several options out there.  In my research I have found the VFT,(not really wanting a slipery surface. I have also read up on Herculiner and Durabak as well as various mats or rubber flooring. I have seen some photos of people using the adhesive no slip strips on the ramp and thought that was a good idea.

Any thoughts on  what worked or did not is greatly appreciated.

Rick

BTW it is a 7X14 V-nose

I used a rough black and white checkerboard linoleum. Can't say for sure, but it was around 200 bucks. Whatever you do.....install a track lock system, one on each edge and one in the center, your load & tiedown options will be limitless. Good luck!!

Those thick rubber mats they use in horse stalls would be perfect. Cut to fit. No slip

Looking at them right now and It looks like I'm limited to only two options locally for a rubber hore stall mat.

I've got a friend in the flooring buisness... I will see what he has to offer.  Thanks
