I am sure there are threads on this already but I don't have the patience to sort through them.

Went on a ride yesterday with the Zumo 660 giving directions. Had the CB on as I was in communication with fellow riders. Every time the GPS interrupted the music to give directions the microphone would open up. I could hardly hear the directions over the noise of my pipes.

Any ideas why the mic opens? Any information would be helpful.

Mine does the same thing there is an earlier post but what it came down to is the NIM is the issue. It's too late in the season here for me to try and have it fixed by the dealer.

You have a bad NIM. This is a recurring issue with the NIM.

I had the NIM replaced once so I have the second generation NIM. Just my luck. Factory warranty ran out on the 11th.

a good dealer should be able to still get it covered since it has happened befor and you are so close to time...
