Need new handlebar grips

My 08 serk needs new grips. How hard is it to get the clutch grip off.....it's the old Ironsides style. I'm looking at putting on some kuryakyn zombie grips

I've gotten the clutch side grip off without damaging it, but it was mostly rubber without a lot of chrome on the grip. If you don't care, cut it off.  Seems like I just worked the grip back and forth until the glue released.

Hii Sceamin 08, I would recommend heating your grip with a blow dryer ( not a heat gun). I had an experience last summer on my way home from Arkansas when it was about 104 outside. I noticed at a gas stop that my throttle was starting to pull away from where it should be. The foil from the heaters was showing. I lined it up and pushed it back on and so far so good. When I changed the grips out on my Heritage, I gave the clutch side a twist and yank and it pulled off. It was tight, but I think most guys could pull it off also. CAHDBIKER
