Ok, wife just beat me up for not staying with the topic.
I orders a pair of the Hog Tunes from PEZ and they sound GREAT [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

They sounded sooooo good especially in sixth gear, just purring down the road, and then I got to thinking, and that almost always hurts. I thought I couldn't be the only one having all this fun, gotta include Mrs.We so I ordered a second pair. This S$!t is dangerous, get a nice bike, gotta get the wife one, like the speakers, gotta get the wife some... wait till you see us order dinner, we are one for one, always the same.

Now let's talk about customer service as it pertains to those in business in The Great White North, eh. PEZ called me up on a Sunday (thought it was my brother with that Canadian "Hey there" ringing through the phone) to make sure he had my order right. Knowing he had sent me a pair earlier, he wanted to make sure I wanted another front set and not a rear set. Then the speakers were here in two days. Are you still wondering if PEZ is the guy to go to?

I am going to wait until the Smoky Mt. meet and listen to the hog tunes  before I spend any more on speakers.

Got my Hogtunes a couple days ago.  Bought 3 pair, two for my Ultra, and a pair for the SEEG.  I put 'em in the Ultra last night and what a difference. I can actually use the base and treble.  I ran the volume all the way up with no distortion.  Great sound.  Road test will have to wait 'til spring, but I'm thoroughly pleased.  Had to use the dremel to relieve a little material on the mounting block on fronts.  I highly recommend these and Pez was great about following up to make sure I got them ok and offered assistance if I needed.

On to the SEEG now.

Got Hogtunes today but the same old song. When it warms up outside I'll make it to the garage to install them. First impresion is, if they sound as good as they look we made a good buy.

Installed the pair of Hogtunes I'd gotten for the red bike today.  Got to admit right off the bat that for many years my ears haven't been good enough to hear the differences that audiophiles talk about when they listen to "good speakers."  So I wouldn't hear the difference between a tweeter's worth of treble and a double dose of gamma to make your ears light up at night.  I just know if it sounds good to me.

The original speakers played in the garage just fine.  So my litmus test wasn't anything fancy, it was just real world; did they make the radio more useful on the road.  The stock speakers with the stock pipes were good to 90mph or so.  The stock speakers with the E Series mufflers were hearable to 70-75 and intellegible to 55-60 (a little more if you alread knew the words to the song).

After putting the speakers in this afternoon for some stupid reason I just had to try them.  So 39 degrees outside in a drizzling rain Mr. Nutjob is out playing with his speakers.  Now have recognizable audio to as fast as I was willing to go today and intelligible lyrics (mostly) to at least 70-75.  That's a real improvement.  It's not a fancy measurement or scale by any means.  But it's good enough for me.
