I have a T-bag 3 pocket setup. It fits the contour of the gauges and the left bag is removable for using a GPS mount. I use a Techmount in the mirror hole to hold my GPS.

Do you know where to get some of those pads that go on the bottom with the sticky base ?

Home Depot, Lowes, Ace Hardware......just about any hardware store.

May take away from the looks, but it sure is nice if you need something quickly and easily. I keep a small rag in one of them and my iPhone in the other. Also sunblock for my lips.  Very practical too.

Ikept my keys (and later the fob) in mine every since I started riding baggers back in 89.   I can tell everybody now that I'm not riding any more. :huepfenlol2:

On more than one occassion I've been told that I'm just to trusting. :nervous:

No I thought about it but with the 7" wind splitter and a dash mounted ZUMO 660 would not work.  Plus everyone I have seen has rubbed a bad place on the windshield!!

If you are going to add a fairing mounted gps in the future, this will change your options.  I already had my 3 pocket, and had to remove one in order for my windshield and fairing to properly align after adding the gps.

If I wouldn't of already had the 3 pocket, I would have gone down a different path of options.  There was a thread about this a bit back, but can't exactly remember when.

I never locked my 2009 FLHX up. Always left bags open and ignition unlocked. You could just sit on it, flip the ignition, and roll out. Ppl around here don't mess with our bikes.  :nixweiss:

Had one and took it off...it was nice...the larger Leather fairing pouch # 58248-96...was large enough to place anything in it...comes with a piece of plastic same size to protect the windshield of rub marks...looking to unload it if anyone is interested...excellent condition...$80 Shipped...

I have one of the 3 pouch bags to put on , a question is , do I need to put any protective tape on the body work to prevent scuffing ?

Thanks

^^^^^^^
This

T-Bag contoured is the way to go it fits perfectly and looks great. Mine however does not have a removable left bag. Doesn't matter though I'm not one that's addicted to or even needs a GPS unit :)

I had the 3 bagger pouch on my last SG and I couldn't stand the bugs that would accumulate between the back of the bags and the windshield.   :'(.  Tried sticking the hose between them once to wash out the grasshopper and bee wings but scratched the pee out of my shield.  :-\. How do you guys keep that area clean.  :nixweiss:

The bike is going to the dealers next week to have the Chubby 575's fitted, and while he's in that area, the tech will see how my 3 pouch w/s bag (58900-11), which I originally intended to fit to the standard screen, sits with my
10" Wind Splitter. The books say it don't fit, but I think the taller 10" version will allow enough of an opening of the bags to make it worth while. If it works out OK I'll post a couple of pics.

I guess it's like a few things, you don't realize how much you need it until you no longer have it! I find a w/s bag so practical especially when continental touring to hold a passport, sunglasses and toll tickets etc.

just a thought.........
