Thank you Jswerve. I know you have don a ton of research on the exhaust systems. When the pipes connect together on the right side do they use something similar in look to the "X" pipe
Here's a right side pic

And heres a view from the back with the slant cut tips and ghost pipe for the true dual look and 2-1 performance

Thank you for the pics. Man that bike is sharp

Got a call from my dealer just a few minutes ago and my bike will be in early. Like next week early, not a couple of months like we thought. So I need to make a decision soon.

I love the sound of the cfr's but can't get past their potential performance issues. I have heard the Rinehart 4" extreme true duals and I really liked those as did the Mrs. so I think I am going with those

You're welcome and I love the sound of CFR's but I like the right combo of sound AND performance so the CFR's didn't make the cut. Congrats man I bet you are excited lol.

Did you install the baffles in the cfr's or the head pipe?

Jswerve did you change out your headers also? I just came from my dealers and he highly recommends the 2 into 1 D&D pipes like yours. He also highly recommends the s&s headers as he said they are the best fitting pipe for my bike. If not, what headers did you use?

D&D boss fatcat with ghost pipe. That's the header and muffler and matching fake pipe for the true dual look and 2-1 performance/sound  :bananarock: :2vrolijk_21:

This thread is really interesting to me and I would like to see more follow up posts if possible.

I just bought a 2013 cvo ultra classic and I am researching all the exhaust possibilities. I want a deep rumble but I also want enhanced performance. I am not a big fan of a 2 into 1 look so I would prefer a true dual setup from a looks standpoint.

I have now listened to almost every exhaust on you tube with various configurations. I have to say I absolutely love the deep rumble of the CFR's. Previous to hearing them I had pretty much figured I was going with the Rinehart extreme 4" true duals.

I have to say I do love the sound of the D&D Fat Cat 2 into 1 but I don't like that look and I am also concerned about the heat buildup all being on that one side

Thanks for all the info thus far. Keep posting your experiences as you progress with them

DR

I went with the V&H true dual header pipes with 4" Rhinehart slip ons...sounds great and performs really well.

Thank you. I have been looking more and more at the Vance and Hines. I kind of like the power duals with the high output slip ons. Waiting to hear some feedback from my dealer on that setup and what kind of performance I can expect.

I saw ared SESG with the exact same setup at the dealer where I bought my SEUC produce 103 TQ and 91HP on their dyno.  I'm sort of amazed two dynos would be that close.
