Wireless Bluetooth Headset for Half Helmets
« on: November 27, 2012, 11:02:41 PM »

I now have the Scala Q2 head set.  I get a lot of static noises from the ear pieces.  Drives me nuts.  The passenger doesn't experience this problem.  I have switched out headsets, switched ear pieces, mics, etc..   I can not eliminated this problem.  Even returned them and got a new set.  Still, same problem.  Anyone experience these problems?  Does anyone suggest a different brand and/or company?  I am now looking at Sena headsets.  I do not want a wired system.

UFO_HOG uses the ChatterBox XBi2 Bluetooth Motorcycle Intercom Kit  This link is for open face helmets but there is another model for full face.  He and his BSR love it.   Might be worth looking at.

if you - and only you - hear "static noises" they are not form the headset but from any of the other devices paired to it. As for me their root was a bad Zumo 660, exchanged under warranty and "static" gone. May as well be the phone, just try to eliminate the source. Scala G4 or G9 have significantly better acoustics btw  ::)
