Tie Down Brackets
« on: December 12, 2012, 03:30:23 PM »

I just bought the new Tribal Orange FLHTCUSE8. Love the bike !!! I had traded in my 2012 FLHTK, prior to trading that bike in, I removed as much as I could of the aftermarket or owner installed goodies as I could. One of the most used items was the tie down brackets that I bought from Harley.

So when I get home and am getting ready to put the bike up on the lift, I figured I would put the tie down brackets on, when to my surprise Harley has redesigned the attach points and the dam things will not fit !!!

Now to make matters worse, they did not come out with a new bracket -

I use soft tie down extensions and go to the frame, but it is not a great spot to use.

Has anyone found any brackets to use to tie down these monsters?

Is it the holes centres?
Pictures would be a help understanding where the changes were made.

These might work:  http://www.kiwiindian.com/new-harley-prod.html
Where does it go and how does it work?

As for the HD brackets...I have them sitting on the bench because they were not 'bolt-on' on my last southern trip. It is the holes that don't line up...but, I think the holes can be modified to fit AND not show any unsightly extra holes.

I have them on my FLHTCUSE6 & had no problem mounting them. The 2013 P&A book does not list the FLHTCUSE8. What did they change? Don't know! :nixweiss:
