Ok......not sure if I believe this. Looking into new pipes and I was told no stage 1 download necessary as it was done at the factory????? How will they milk us for $$$$$$ if they do this?

If you call programming the ECM for a high flow A/C a "flash".  I call it a stock calibration.  If you change the entire exhaust system, the stock calibration will be way too lean.  If you just put slip on mufflers, without removing the CAT, you can get by with the stock calibration.

The stock CVO calibrations are already considered to be Stage 1, so there is no other download available from Harley.  The CVO's come standard with a high flow aircleaner and a slightly less restrictive exhaust, which is Harley's definition of Stage 1.

Don't worry about H-D, they will still milk you for a whole lot of $$$$$$ over the life of your ownership of the bike.  Start with the inflated purchase price, add in the almost obligatory ESP these days since the reliability of the product is so poor, add in an exhaust system, then add in a tuning device and tune, then buy Harley branded replacement tires at inflated prices, then pay the dealer inflated prices for basic service, etc., etc., etc..  Trust me, Harley and the dealer aren't going to lose money on you. ;)

Was thinking of S&S header and V&H monster rounds. They told me S&S easier to tune??? Gotta get rid of the CAT though.
